Follow these smart electricity-saving tips to reduce your monthly HAZECO bill and energy waste.

    1. Use Energy-Efficient Appliances

Switch to LED bulbs and inverter ACs or fridges to save up to 80% energy. Look for energy-star ratings when buying appliances.

    2. Turn Off Unused Devices

Switch off fans, lights, and TVs when not needed. Unplug chargers and microwaves — they consume standby electricity.

    3. Set AC at 26°C

Use AC at 26°C and turn on ceiling fans to circulate cool air. This significantly reduces your cooling cost.

    4. Use Natural Light

Open windows and curtains during the day. Rely less on lights and fans when fresh air and sunlight are available.

    5. Use Appliances in Off-Peak Hours

Run washing machines, irons, and heaters during night hours to avoid peak-rate charges.

    6. Monitor Your Usage

Keep track of monthly units. Sudden spikes may indicate faulty appliances or excessive use.

    7. Verify Your Bill

Always check meter reading, taxes, and units. Contact HAZECO if your bill seems unusually high or has errors.

    8. Consider Solar Energy

If possible, install solar panels to reduce reliance on grid power, especially during peak sunlight hours.
